RevUP 2025: Shaping the Future of AECO Collaboration

Table of Contents

RevUP 2025 brought together passionate leaders and practitioners in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operations (AECO) industry to discuss the challenges and opportunities ahead. As the industry continues to grapple with inefficiencies and fragmentation, the conversations at RevUP centered on breaking silos, driving collaboration, and leveraging technology to reduce inefficiencies and streamline project delivery.

Key Takeaways from RevUP 2025

Collaboration is the Game-Changer

Arman Gukasyan, founder and CEO of Revizto, set the tone with his keynote address, emphasizing the need for a unified approach to problem-solving in AECO. “We are in one of the biggest industries in the world that happens to be the most inefficient and reluctant to change,” he stated. “That’s why our goal is to create—together with you—a standard for collaboration.”

Throughout the event, industry leaders reinforced the idea that technology alone isn’t enough—it’s the people who drive transformation. Brad Sara, Principal at Warren and Mahoney, and Alex Belkofer, Senior VDC Director at McCarthy, shared their experiences of leveraging Revizto to create shared project environments. The result? Seamless coordination and increased trust.

The power of Revizto is that it’s more than just a tool—it’s an experience. We have people in our organizations saying, “Now that we have Revizto and we are so reliant on it to create a shared environment, there’s no going back.”

Data-Driven Efficiency & Automation

From real-time clash detection to API-driven automation, firms are pushing the boundaries of how Revizto can enhance project workflows. David de Yarza, VDC Manager at Sellen Construction, talked about the benefits of federating data and automating workflows—when information is centralized, decisions are faster, rework is minimized, and efficiency skyrockets.

There’s a great advantage to federating models in Revizto to begin with. I cannot say that enough. It’s just so easy.

Ahmed Abdelmeguid, a Revizto Industry Consultant, led a packed breakout session about the power of the Revizto API. Ahmed showcased how firms are using the API to build custom applications for their teams. One standout example? A customer built a dynamic dashboard combining construction planning data, design issues, and GIS maps, that allowed users to create heatmaps of issues by discipline.

The Future is Connected

Many discussions at RevUP revolved around how firms are embracing cutting-edge technology to enhance project delivery. In one panel of subcontractors, Jason Steele, VDC Manager at Cerris Systems, underscored the importance of adopting technology that truly adds value. His team is leveraging Revizto to optimize prefabrication processes, a critical strategy given regional labor shortages.

Eva Zamshina, Principal Digital Designer and MEPF BIM Lead at Mott MacDonald, echoed similar sentiments, explaining how early engagement and risk prediction at the design stage are crucial for successful project execution. “I try to predict risks in construction at the design stage,” she said, emphasizing the need for trustable models that improve communication across stakeholders.

Building a More Collaborative Industry

The recurring theme throughout the conference was the industry’s need for standardized practices. Panelists discussed how the lack of unified BIM standards causes miscommunication and inefficiencies. Many panelists praised Revizto for pushing the conversation forward, stating that industry-wide standards would help general contractors, subcontractors, and project managers better predict risks and understand design intent.

CJ Soriano, BIM/CAD Production Manager at Murphy Company, highlighted how his team trains engineers to make designs fabricatable, reducing rework. “We train new mechanical engineers on how to make their designs fabricatable,” he said. “Some engineers we work with are asking us to come on board earlier so that we can utilize our time better and not have to redraw everything before fabrication.”

Looking Ahead

RevUP is more than just a conference—it is a movement. The conversations at this year’s event underscored a shared commitment to building a smarter, more connected industry.

As Arman Gukasyan concluded, “We’re building a platform that is incredibly easy to use so that anyone involved in a complex project can take advantage of it.”

With industry pioneers leading the charge, the future of AECO is poised for transformation. See you at RevUP 2026!
