From Rebuild to Digital by Default

What Christchurch taught us about collaboration and how IPD 2.0 can take it further
Time
3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Location
Christchurch Town Hall

Fifteen years after the Christchurch earthquakes, the rebuild has transformed how projects are delivered in New Zealand. As the urgency of the rebuild fades, industry leaders are coming together to reflect on what comes next.

Following our 2025 Wellington roundtable and white paper on Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), this event explores how the collaborative ways of working and digital innovation developed during the rebuild can become standard practice across the industry.

Together, we will reflect on what Christchurch taught us about integrated, data-driven collaboration (IPD 2.0), and explore how an executive working group could capture those lessons and turn them into business-as-usual practice across New Zealand and beyond.

The event will also feature a gallery-style celebration of innovative Christchurch projects that are leading the world, alongside opportunities to connect with industry peers and thought leaders.
