How Built achieves 100% on-time delivery

Project overview
Australia’s largest privately owned construction company, Built, is a digital-first contractor delivering complex projects across healthcare, critical digital infrastructure, commercial development, and other sectors. Its portfolio includes Chifley South, the Ballarat Base Hospital Redevelopment, and the CDC Laverton Data Centre Campus.
Keeping A$8.5 billion of complex projects on track
100% Australian owned, Built delivers some of the country’s largest and most complex projects. With around 65% of its work delivered for government clients, maintaining certainty across budgets, programs, and delivery is critical.
These projects bring together hundreds of people, from clients, consultants, design teams, trade partners, and site teams. Built needed one clear, accessible source of project information so everyone could work from the same view, regardless of their role or technical expertise.
Connecting every project ecosystem through Revizto
Built’s Digital Engineering + Construction (DE+C) methodology makes digital delivery part of how every project is planned and built. Revizto acts as a central project hub, connecting models, drawings and issues with Built’s wider digital systems.
Built was the first Australian construction company to sign an enterprise agreement with Revizto, extending access across every project and team. Every Built project uses Revizto to review models, coordinate design, manage issues, and track progress. And access is not limited to digital engineering teams. Everyone from site teams, quantity surveyors, apprentices, clients, and executives all use the platform.
The impact can be seen across Built’s portfolio. Its DE+C methodology has achieved 50% faster project starts, 25% accelerated completion, and 50% fewer defects. Today, 100% of Built’s active projects are running on time or ahead of schedule.
“Construction as an industry generates huge amounts of data and information. Revizto helps connect everything, bringing the model, drawings and issues, together in one place so decisions get made once instead of three times. That’s a big part of how Built achieves 100% on-time delivery.”
Kurt Brissett, Chief Digital and Information Officer, Built

Making digital useful for everyone
Built makes project information accessible to everyone involved in delivery, not just digital specialists. By providing access and practical training across its project teams, Built helps more people understand issues in context and act earlier.
On many projects, a significant proportion of Revizto users sit outside Built. Trade partners, clients, and other stakeholders can view and understand the information relevant to their role, making the model a practical tool for the wider project team.
“One of the greatest values of Revizto is the way it helps Built bring people together. By creating a shared environment for conversation, coordination and decision-making, it empowers the whole project team to engage earlier, collaborate more effectively and deliver with greater confidence.”
Alun Welsh, Digital Engineering Manager, Built
Built first virtually
Before construction begins on site, Built can test how it will come together digitally. Its Integrated Construction Model (ICM) reflects what will actually be built, not simply what was designed, helping teams rehearse sequencing, review methodology, and resolve issues earlier.
Virtually building also supports safer planning, which is Built's number one priority. By working through construction activities in the ICM, teams can identify potential risks, refine sequences, and put controls in place before work begins on site.
The ICM continues to evolve during construction. In Revizto, teams use Custom Properties to track completed elements and key milestone dates, compare as-built scans with the model, and carry out quality inspections before concrete pours or walls and ceilings are closed. By the end of the project, the model reflects what was built, supporting handover and future operations.
“Revizto has helped us simplify project delivery by bringing issues, decisions, and accountability together into one connected platform, providing teams with greater visibility and allowing them to focus their efforts on solving problems, driving progress, and delivering better project outcomes.”
Amber Haddock, Digital Engineering Manager, Built

Turning project data into executive insight
Information generated through day-to-day project delivery also gives Built’s leaders a clearer view across the portfolio. Revizto's data connects with Built's dashboards, reports, and executive briefings, giving leaders a clearer view across the portfolio and allowing information generated through day-to-day delivery to support wider reporting and decision-making.
Challenges and solutions
Built’s digital-first approach in action
Across Australia, Built delivers some of the country's most complex projects across healthcare, commercial, data center, and student accommodation. Revizto sits at the center of that complexity, giving teams a single environment for coordination, issue resolution, and collaboration throughout each project.
In healthcare, Built is delivering new facilities inside live hospital campuses across Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, and Victoria, including emergency departments, operating theaters, and maternity and neonatal units. Teams use Revizto to manage changing site conditions and coordinate multiple construction packages while minimizing disruption to patients and staff.
In the commercial sector, Built is delivering one of Sydney's newest premium office towers, designed to accommodate around 10,000 workers. Revizto gives consultants, contractors, and future tenants a single source of truth, helping the team catch issues before they affect delivery.
For large data center campuses, Revizto helps civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical teams resolve clashes early, protecting program certainty across projects in both regional and urban areas. The delivery of new student accommodation is often undertaken in constrained urban locations, requiring careful coordination across multiple stakeholders and existing infrastructure. On a development providing more than 1,100 beds in Western Australia, Revizto supports collaboration across a site built above live rail infrastructure and a buried bus station.

How Revizto Collaboration Hub enabled Built’s success
- Unified 2D/3D Environment - Brings 2D drawings and 3D models together, making project information accessible across Built's wider project ecosystem
- Collaborative Clash Automation - Helps teams find and resolve clashes before they reach site
- Integrated Issue Management - Allows teams to manage issues in 2D or 3D, with each issue connected to its location in the project
- Connected Project Intelligence - Connects Revizto data with Built's wider reporting, providing visibility across the project portfolio
Delivering certainty across every project
Built has made digital part of how every project is planned and delivered. With Revizto embedded in its DE+C methodology, teams can work from consistent information, resolve issues earlier, and make clearer decisions throughout delivery.
The result is greater certainty: fewer surprises, less rework, and clearer visibility across programs, budgets, and quality. For clients, that means greater confidence that complex projects and critical infrastructure will be delivered as planned.
