Introducing the Revizto MCP Server

Project teams have never lacked data. What they've lacked is fast, easy access to it. For example, a Project Manager needs to know how many critical mechanical issues are still open in Level 3 before a subcontractor meeting in 20 minutes. Traditionally, that means the PM pings the BIM lead, who stops what they're doing, opens the model, runs a filter, and fires back a screenshot — if there's time. There usually isn't.

That bottleneck is what the Revizto MCP Server is built to remove.

What is the Revizto MCP Server? 

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, an open standard for connecting AI tools directly to data sources. The Revizto MCP Server is a no-code connector that acts as a secure bridge between your Revizto project data and the AI your team already uses: Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or your firm's own private LLM.

Connect your AI to Revizto once, and any team member – not just your BIM/VDC specialist – can query live project data in plain English.

What problem does it solve?

The common thread we hear from AECO teams is this: the data exists, but getting to it takes too long and too many people.

Connecting an AI to a BIM environment used to require a lot of custom development work, a budget, and a dedicated engineering resource. As a result, this made AI-driven project intelligence the preserve of the largest global firms with ample resources. 

The Revizto MCP Server removes that barrier entirely. No code, no custom middleware, no specialist required to set it up. More importantly, it is built around a principle we won't compromise on: your data never leaves your environment. You choose the AI, you control the infrastructure, you own the output.

What can it do today?

This is Phase 1. The current release gives your AI read access to issues, clashes, stamp templates — and write access to issues. That's the foundation. But what you build on top of it can range from a simple question to an intelligent coordination dashboard.

Think of it as a spectrum. At one end: a Project Manager asking a plain-language question and getting an answer before the meeting starts. In the middle: multi-step workflows — query your open critical issues, then ask your AI to draft follow-up comments to the people responsible and set deadlines in Revizto. At the other end: a fully interactive intelligence dashboard that gives you a morning brief, lets you dig into coordination analytics by persona, compare projects side by side, and action issue reassignments. All from a single interface.

That last one is already built. We’ve developed the Revizto Project Intelligence Dashboard: an interactive “mission control” powered by Claude and connected via the Revizto MCP Server. It's a working demonstration of what's possible today, including a morning brief, natural language query, coordination analytics, project health, and cross-project insights. It is a prototype, not a finished product, and that distinction matters: some things work exactly as shown, others are starting points you'll want to customize to your firm's workflows and triage processes. That's the point. Take our prototype, make it yours.

How to get started

The Revizto MCP Server is designed to meet teams where they are. Once connected via the Developer Portal from the Workspace, here are some of the prompts you can run from day one:

• How many drawing sheets are in my project?
• How many critical and open issues are there in my project?
• Reassign a.user’s open issues to b.user.
• Close solved issues for a.user created more than 30 days ago.
• Set a deadline of next Friday on a.user’s open issues for this project.
• Set the open issues status for a.user to ‘In Progress’.
• Set the Open ‘Ductwork vs Structure’ issues status for a.user@revizto.com to Critical.

This is just the beginning

Phase 1 is a foundation, not a ceiling. Model and Object Properties access, model geometry, and search sets are already on the roadmap as the underlying API surface expands. The teams using it today are shaping what comes next.
