What to expect at a Revizto Field Day
Are you prepared for what’s next in AECO?
Revizto Field Days are free, regional gatherings where local AECO pros learn directly from peers. Skip the sales pitch and connect over real-world BIM workflows, case studies, and open roundtable discussions.
Early in Revizto's history, I spent a lot of time at industry conferences. I wasn't there to pitch; I was simply there to listen. Some of the most useful events weren't the large trade shows with thousands of attendees. They were smaller, community-run gatherings where the same group of people (engineers, BIM managers, and coordinators) kept showing up year after year to talk openly about what was actually working and what wasn't.
That's where I learned something that has shaped how we approach events at Revizto ever since: in this industry, credibility doesn't come from a pitch. It comes from someone that’s in the same boat as you.
Why we didn't build a traditional events program
Large industry trade shows are the best places to see the latest technology, catch up with old colleagues, and get a high-level pulse on where the market is going. But we quickly realized that a busy exhibition floor isn't always the best setting for a deep, unfiltered workflow conversation. When you are trying to figure out how to solve a highly specific coordination bottleneck, what you really need is a dedicated space to talk shop with someone doing the same job, on a similar project.
That's the thinking behind our Field Days. We run them for free, in specific regions, and we deliberately don't make them just about Revizto. We invite local power users and industry practitioners to share their own experiences, their own workflows, and their own challenges, with each other.
What happens at a Revizto Field Day?
- Real-world case studies: Local VDC managers, coordinators, and contractors walk through their actual projects—showing the exact workflows, clash automation setups, and reality capture integrations they use.
- Interactive peer roundtables: No lectures. These are small, open-forum discussions where attendees swap strategies on common bottlenecks, from design coordination to field communication.
- No-pitch product insights: Rather than a sales demo, the Revizto team shares a quick, practical look at upcoming features, regional updates, and time-saving workflows.
- Local AECO networking: A free, low-pressure space to connect with other tech-forward professionals in your immediate region over food and drinks.
The power of word of mouth and referral
In the early days, the return on this kind of event was dramatically higher than anything resembling a cold outreach channel. Prospects who attended a Field Day and hadn't been using Revizto were far more likely to become customers within a couple of months than prospects reached any other way, because the credibility came from a peer, not from us.
That pattern hasn't changed with scale. Word of mouth and referral—project teams recommending a tool to another project, or to a new company entirely—still make up a meaningful share of how new customers find us. That kind of trust doesn't come from an ad. It comes from someone who has actually used the product telling someone else it worked.
The larger point about how trust works in this industry
Construction is a relationship-driven industry, and there's no real shortcut around that. You can't buy your way into the kind of trust that gets a general contractor or an owner to bet a multi-million-dollar project on your software. You earn it by showing up, listening more than you talk, and letting the people who've actually used the product do the talking for you.
That's not a marketing tactic we adopted because it was efficient. It's slower than paid acquisition, and it doesn't scale the way a performance marketing channel does. We keep doing it because it's the only approach that has actually matched how this industry makes decisions.
If you get the chance to attend a Field Day near you, please do. You'll get to hear directly from peers who are solving the exact same challenges you face every day.
FAQs
A Revizto Field Day is a free, regionally focused networking and educational event where local AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operations) practitioners meet to share their real-world project workflows, coordination challenges, and best practices. Unlike typical vendor-led events, the focus is on peer-to-peer learning rather than a standard product sales pitch.
These events are designed for BIM managers, VDC directors, coordinators, general contractors, designers, and owners who want to hear how other regional project teams are tackling collaboration. Whether you are a daily Revizto power user or simply looking for better ways to manage construction coordination, you will find valuable peer insights.
No, you do not need to be an active Revizto user or customer to attend. Field Days are open-forum industry gatherings centered on general coordination workflows, peer experiences, and industry challenges. It is a great opportunity to hear unfiltered, real-world feedback from teams who use the software on complex, multi-million-dollar projects.
Field Days are kept small, collaborative, and interactive to encourage genuine conversation. The typical agenda features local practitioners presenting real-world case studies, followed by interactive peer roundtables to discuss common construction bottlenecks, a brief look at new Revizto features, and casual networking.
